Aaron Zigman has been tapped to score the upcoming dance movie Step Up Revolution. The fourth movie in the Step Up series is directed by music video/commercials director Scott Speer and stars Kathryn McCormick, Ryan Guzman and Stephen Boss. The film follows the daughter of a wealthy businessman who arrives in Miami with aspirations of becoming a professional dancer, but soon falls in love with a young man who leads a dance crew in elaborate, cutting-edge flash mobs. Adam Shankman (Hairspray) is producing the film with Jennifer Gibgot (17 Again), Erik Feig (I Know What You Did Last Summer) and Patrick Wachsberger (Mr. & Mrs. Smith). Jon Chu who helmed the previous two films is executive producing. Zigman has previously scored the original Step Up film in 2006, as well as the 2008 sequel Step Up 2: The Streets, while Bear McCreary scored the third installment Step Up 3D in 2010. The composer has taken over scoring duties from BT who was originally attached to write the score for the fourth part in the series as reported last year. Step Up Revolution will be released nationwide on July 27, 2012 by Summit Entertainment. For updates on the film, visit the official Facebook movie page.

Zigman also has the Tyler Perry-directed comedy drama The Marriage Counselor, as well as the comedy We the Peeples coming up.
