According to The Playlist, The Chemical Brothers are attached to score the upcoming heist movie Now You See Me. The film is directed by Louis Leterrier and stars Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman, Isla Fisher, Melanie Laurent, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco and Common. The movie follows a group of the world’s greatest illusionists who pull off daring bank heists during their performances. Boaz Yakin (Remember the Titans, Fresh) and Edward Ricour have written the screenplay for the Summit Entertainment production. Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci (Star Trek, Transformers) are producing via their Kurtzman Orci Paper Products company. Leterrier has previously worked together with composer Craig Armstrong on The Incredible Hulk and Clash of the Titans before Ramin Djawadi has taken over scoring duties on the latter film. His other musical collaborators include Massive Attack & Neil Davidge (Unleashed) and Stanley Clarke & Alexandre Azaria (Transporter series). The Chemical Brothers made their film scoring debut on last year’s action drama Hanna directed by Joe Wright, for which they received the Best Film Score award from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association. Now You See Me is scheduled for a release on January 18, 2013.
