Intrada Records has announced the release of a number of classic film scores. First up is the world premiere release of the complete score for Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. The music is composed by Leonard Rosenman who received an Academy Award nomination for his score. Apart from the movie’s full score, the 2CD-set also includes previously unreleased cues, plus several alternates including Rosenman’s unused take on Alexander Courage’s TV theme. Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home is directed by Leonard Nimoy who also starred in the film alongside William Shatner Leonard Nimoy and DeForest Kelley.

The label has also announced a new edition of the soundtrack for the 1966 film The Sand Pebbles. The album includes the complete score from the film composed by Jerry Goldsmith and conducted by Lionel Newman. The Sand Pebbles directed by Robert Wise and starring Steve McQueen, Richard Attenborough and  Candice Bergen has received eight Academy Award nominations, including one for Goldsmith’s score.

The final new release is the world premiere release of the complete score for the 1966 black comedy The Wrong Box. The music is composed and conducted by John Barry.
