Nicholas Hooper is currently scoring the Disneynature documentary Chimpanzee. The movie is directed by Alastair Fothergrill (The Blue Planet, Deep Blue) and Mark Linfield (Earth) and centers on a family of chimps living in the Ivory Coast and Ugandan rain forests. Hooper who is best known for his scores for Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince previously worked with Fothergrill on Disneynature’s African Cats, which was released earlier this year. Hooper has also scored the Irish drama Stella Days directed by Thaddeus O’Sullivan (Into the Storm). Martin Sheen stars as a priest who attempts to set up a cinema in rural 1950’s Ireland, despite opposition from parishioners. Stephen Rea, Trystan Gravelle, Marcella Plunkett and Amy Huberman are co-starring in the film. The movie recently premiered at the Busan Film Festival and is currently awaiting a release date.
