Clint Eastwood has recently recorded his original music for his latest directorial effort J. Edgar. The orchestral score was recorded at the Eastwood Scoring Stage at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California. J. Edgar stars Leonardo DiCaprio as J. Edgar Hoover,  head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation for nearly 50 years.  Naomi Watts, Armie Hammer, Judi Dench, Stephen Root, Josh Lucas, Dermot Mulroney and Jeffrey Donovan are co-starring.  The biopic is written by Dustin Lance Black (Milk). Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13) is producing with Eastwood and Robert Lorenz (Gran Torino, Changeling). Eastwood has been scoring several of his own movies in the last decade, starting with 2003’s Mystic River. Most recently, he wrote the music for last year’s HereafterJ. Edgar will be premiering at the AFI Film Festival in Los Angeles on November 3, 2011 and is set to be released in theaters nationwide on November 11. 4. Claudio Desgualdo says:

The name of the slow piano song that plays at the end of the movie is: “Red Sails In The Sunset” (Written by James Kennedy and Hugh Williams) Performed by Kyle Eastwood, Joe Bagg, Kye Palmer, Jason Harnell. And I didn’t find this song, in a WWW. it’s seems, to me, that was played only in the movie, unfortunately.
