Johan Söderqvist confirmed in a recent interview on Spoiler Alert Radio that he is about to reunite with director Susanne Bier on her newest project. The production company Zentropa (via The Playlist) recently revealed a new English title for Bier’s new romantic comedy. The Bald Hairdresser (originally entitled All You Need is Love) stars Pierce Brosnan alongside a number of mostly Danish actors. Anders Thomas Jensen who has been involved in many of Bier’s movies is co-writing the script. Söderqvist has been working with the Danish director for about two decades, most notably on Brothers, After the Wedding and this year’s Academy Award winner in the Best Foreign Language Film category In a Better World. He also collaborated with composer Gustavo Santaolalla on Bier’s English-language debut Things We Lost in the Fire. The Bald Hairdresser will reportedly be bilingual, partly Danish and partly English. The movie is set for release in 2012 in Europe and given the success of Bier’s previous movies, a domestic release should be guaranteed.
