Varese Sarabande Records has announced the details for the soundtrack release of the French romance La fille du puisatier (aka The Well Digger’s Daughter). The album includes Alexandre Desplat’s original score, as well Enrico Caruso’s performance of the song Core ‘Ngrato from the film. The score was recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios. The soundtrack has been released as a physical CD in Europe and will be available on iTunes in the US on May 31, 2011. The album can also be ordered as an import on Amazon. La fille du puisatier starring and directed by Daniel Auteuil has already been released in France and a domestic release has yet to be announced.
