Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack release for the documentary These Amazing Shadows. The album includes the original score by Peter Golub (The Great Debaters, Frozen River, Countdown to Zero). The music was recorded with the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra last fall. The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 12, 2011. To listen to a few tracks from the score, visit Peter Golub’s official website and watch the film’s end credits sequence below. These Amazing Shadows is directed by Paul Mariano and Kurt Norton and tells the history and importance of The National Film Registry, a roll call of American cinema treasures that reflects the diversity of film. The talent interviewed for the documentary includes Rob Reiner, John Waters, Leonard Maltin, Gale Anne Hurd, John Singleton, Tim Roth and Wayne Wang. The movie premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and is currently available on VOD and still being shown at screenings around the country.
