Film Score Monthly has announced the premiere soundtrack release of the 1983 drama Testament. The film’s music is written by Academy Award-winning composer James Horner. The soundtrack album is limited to 2000 copies and includes the complete score from the movie. To listen to audio clips from all tracks on the album and to order the album, visit Film Score Monthly. Testament centers on woman who is struggling to take care of her family after a nuclear attack. The film is directed by Lynne Littman and stars Jane Alexander, William Devane, Ross Harris and Lukas Haas. Alexander received an Academy Award nomination for her lead performance in the movie.

The album marks the second release of a Horner score from the label this year. His score for the 1982 TV movie Rascals and Robbers: The Secret Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn was released last month as a double bill with the Jerry Goldsmith score for the 1971 television drama The Homecoming: A Christmas Story. The album, which is limited to 3000 copies is still available on Film Score Monthly.
