Theodore Shapiro is currently in Dallas, Texas for three concert performances of his music with the Dallas Symphonic Orchestra this weekend. The concert will include performances of suites from some of Shapiro’s best known scores (The Devil Wears Prada, Marley & Me, Tropic Thunder), as well as the world premiere of a new original concert piece called In Mitn Drinnen. While in Dallas, Shapiro also sat down for an interview with Gordon and the Whale discussing his score to the comedy Arthur, which is coming out this Friday. A soundtrack for Arthur has been released on WaterTower Music this Tuesday. The album for the film starring Russell Brand, Helen Mirren, Jennifer Garner and Greta Gerwig includes nine songs from the movie from such artists as Daniel Merriweather, Ben Gibbard and Mark McAdam, as well as one score track performed by the Arthur Orchestra.
