In a recent interview with Collider, Elfman confirmed that he will score Gus Van Sant’s upcoming drama Restless (previously untitled). The movie revolves around a teenage boy and girl who share a preoccupation with mortality. The movie is produced by Ron Howard and Bryce Dallas Howard. Restless stars Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland). Restless marks Elfman’s fifth collaboration with Van Sant after To Die For, Good Will Hunting, Psycho and Milk. A release date for the movie produced by Imagine Entertainment has yet to be announced.

Elfman will score the movie before he starts working on Michel Gondry’s The Green Hornet. The comic book adaptation starring Seth Rogen, Cameron Diaz, Christoph Waltz and Tom Wilkinson. The movie is scheduled to be released this December by Sony Pictures.
